STANDARD TEST PIECE FOR MEASURING INSTRUMENT OF NONMETALLIC INCLUSION IN STEEL

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standard test piece for a measuring instrument of nonmetallic inclusion in steel, with variations in measurement results reduced to the utmost so that the test piece can be used for periodical calibration of an image analyzer and for calibration in starting up the analyzer newly or after repair. PSOLUTION: This standard test piece is used for a measuring instrument of nonmetallic inclusion in steel, wherein a surface of mirror-polished steel is observed by using an optical microscope utilizing an illumination light source to identify nonmetallic inclusions based on a difference in luminance between the steel and a nonmetallic inclusion in an observed gray image.
