PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin identification apparatus, a coin identification method, and a coin identification program which are provided with a simple information on and identify the denomination of coins highly precisely.;SOLUTION: In an identification part 50, one specification spectrum is set for each coin with mutually different frequencies on the basis of spectrum distribution of waveform showing temporal change of predetermined inductance of coils of each coin, thresholds corresponding to specification spectrums of each coin are set, on the basis of amounts of components of each set specification spectrum. The identification part 50 compares the specification spectrums with the spectrum distribution by an arithmetic processing part 40 from the denomination of coins highly frequently used. When a spectrum with a frequency matching a frequency of any of the specification spectrums of each coin with an amount of component larger than the set threshold is included in the spectrum distribution by the arithmetic processing part 40, the identification part 50 identifies that the denomination of the coin corresponding to the waveform with the denomination of the coin corresponding to the matched specification spectrum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
