The apparatus includes a high frequency antenna (20) with at least two conductors. The high frequency antenna is arranged closer to an examination chamber (40) than is a gradient coil system (22). Each conductor (20) of the stripline antenna device includes a respective gamma radiation detector unit with respective circuitry (12), and is formed as a screening sleeve that is impermeable to high frequency radiation produced by the high frequency antenna. An independent claim is included for an imaging method.
