PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately forecast the starting continuing period about various starting operation condition of a CC (combined cycle) power generation system.;SOLUTION: This is a method of forecasting the starting period (42) of a combined cycle power generation system (10) including a computer control system (22) which includes: a gas turbine engine (12); a steam turbine (16); a user input device (26) and an output device (24). This method includes: a step (144) for inputting a desired time (38) at which the combined cycle power generation system is to reach a load capable of supplying power; a step for collecting a current value (124) of a predetermined operational conditions of the combined cycle power generation system; a step wherein a computer control system executes an algorithm which generates a forecasted starting time (150) based on the desired time and the current value and wherein the combined cycle power generation system is predicted to reach the load capable of supplying power at the desired time when started at the forecasted starting time; and a step (148) wherein the computer system outputs the predicted starting time (42) to the output device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
