PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure on a pilotis story of a building, which effectively bears both of a long-term vertical load and a short-term external load force, ensures the spatial versatility on the pilotis story, and can be implemented at a reasonable cost.;SOLUTION: The base isolation structure on the pilotis story of the building having the pilotis story 10 arranged between an upper structure 20 and a lower structure 30, is formed of structural walls 11, base isolation means 17, and a single or a plurality of structural center posts 13. Each structural wall 11 is erected at a corner portion on the pilotis story, and has a lower edge and an upper edge rigidly connected to the lower structure 30 and an upper beam 12 on the pilotis story, respectively. Each base isolation means 17 is arranged between an upper end face of the upper beam 12 at a location rigidly connected to the structural wall, and a lower end face of the upper structure 20.
