PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generation method of an origin signal detection pattern, and a rotation angle detector with an origin signal, having high reliability, capable of acquiring a highly-accurate origin signal having little influence caused by a mounting error.;SOLUTION: The same pattern row as a basic pattern is arranged on a part of 1 of a basic pattern P0, and a 0-pattern having the same number of digits as the basic pattern is arranged on a 0-part, to thereby acquire a primary developed pattern P1. Furthermore, the same pattern as the basic pattern P0 is arranged on a 1-part of the primary developed pattern, and the 0-pattern having the same number of digits as the basic pattern is arranged on a 0-part, to thereby acquire a secondary developed pattern P2.
