PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool guide mechanism capable of easily changing the direction of a drain hole for discharging the used cooling water.;SOLUTION: This tool guide mechanism 30 used for a deep-hole drilling machine 1 for drilling a deep hole in a floor surface 2 by a long rotary tool 13 includes a guide base 20 supported on the base 10 of the deep-hole drilling machine 1 and a tool guide member 32 which has a through hole in which a guide bush 31 rotatably supporting the rotary tool 13 is fitted and guides the rotary tool 13. The tool guide member 32 is attached to the guide base 20 rotatably about the axis of the through hole. A drain chamber for storing the cooling water discharged from the front end of the rotary tool 13 is formed in the through hole of the tool guide member 32 further on the floor surface 2 side than the guide bush 31.
