PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent copyright from being infringed by copying information recorded in a hard disk with copy constraint into other hard disk with a PC to generate numerous copies illegally. PSOLUTION: When recording in the hard disk, encrypted recording is carried out by using the identification number unique for the hard disk drive. Herewith, even if being copied into other hard disk drive illegally, normal reproduction is prohibited because the drive identification number necessary for decoding is different. Furthermore, the version information of the hard disk is stored in an information management circuit. When copying into other hard disk is carried out illegally, the version information varies and does not coincide with the version information stored in the information management circuit.
