PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a spark plug capable of making compatible the maintenance of durability by preventing a chip from being peeled off an electrode base metal with the reduction in production cost.;SOLUTION: In a welding step, the chip T10 is welded to the electrode base metal M10 by forming a molten part W10 formed by fusing a part of the electrode base metal M10 and a part of the chip T10.
