PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the quantity of information to be sent out by N times by increasing the number of light-emitting elements by N times and to rightly separately identify N information lights at a receiving side. PSOLUTION: A despreading section (9(2)) includes: an average value extraction circuit (12) which extracts a DC component and a low-frequency components of a signal from a light-receiving section to generate a reference signal comprised of the DC component and the low-frequency component; a polarity switching circuit (13) which inputs the signal from the light-receiving section, a spreading code from a spreading code generating circuit and the reference signal, outputs the spreading code as it is if the spreading code is greater than the reference signal and inverts out the spreading code if the spreading code is smaller than the reference signal; an integration circuit (14) which integrates the signal from the polarity switching circuit and outputs a sample/hold value of the integrated value; and a binarizing circuit (15) for binarizing the output of the integration circuit.
