PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake resistant manhole joint and an earthquake resistant pipe coupling, stably protecting a manhole and a sewer pipe, by absorbing thrusting-in force into the manhole acting on the sewer pipe in an earthquake, while guaranteeing excellent traction performance over a long period. PSOLUTION: A belt-like elastic body 21 is allowed to abut on an inner surface of a collar pipe 2 or a joint pipe body 20 having one end part embedded in a manhole wall and inserting and joining the sewer pipe into and to the other end part. A presser plate 22 for installing a bolt connecting holder 23 in several places of a reverse surface by a fastening member 232, is allowed to abut on the belt-like elastic body 21. A part between the respective bolt connecting holder 23 and collar pipe 2 or joint pipe body 20 is connected by a fixing bolt 24 by penetrating through the belt-like elastic body 21. A projecting head part of the fastening member 232 in a presser plate surface is sufficiently reduced, and the excellent traction performance is guaranteed by preventing a hitch of a solid material in sewage.
