Use of coated layer of two-component polyurethane varnish on a wind power plant

In the present invention, there is suggested the use of a solvent-based two-component polyurethane varnish particularly for a wind power plant, especially on the surface of components of the plant in order to reduce noise and restriction of formation of ice accretion. When reacted and dried, the polyurethane varnish of the present invention creates an adhering surface layer (1) with a Teflon-like slippery outer surface. The varnish is particularly use on a rotor blade (10), especially on the leading edge thereof, as well as other portions of the rotor, surface of the tower (7), nacelle or cover (8), which are exposed to the blast of wind, rain or snow or hail impinging.
