Novelty: solar water-cooled collector situated at the focus of a parabolic reflector in tubular photovoltaic systems. Constitution & technical features: a collector 1 composed of a metal tube 3 the lateral surface of which is externally covered with photovoltaic cells 15 and closed up at its ends by the bottom portions 8; it is provided with little tubes 14 destined for the input and output of the collector’s refrigerating liquid and produces -in parallel to the electric energy 17- hot water for domestic, industrial and air-conditioning purposes (fig.1). The above metal tube 3 is situated inside another glass tube 9 the ends of which are homoaxially sealed in airtight or/and watertight manner; both sides of these ends are covered with the insulation 11 and the adequately-adapted shells 12; said tube 3 is placed at the focus of the semi-cylindrical parabolic reflector 13 for ensuring a higher electric efficiency (per m2) of the photovoltaic surface. Purpose: thermal energy generation for the production of hot water destined for domestic, industrial or even air-conditioning use by means of absorption chillers or desalinations.
