The invention relates to a carbon-carbon composite material reinforced with carbon nano-fibres and a composite carbonic matrix which is intended to be used for producing braking systems in the aeronautical and transports industry, as well as for making thermal protection systems. According to the invention, the material is a mixture of a nano-composite petroleum pitch having a grain size of 0...30 μ m and a softening point of 90°C and carbon nano-tubes in a ratio of 0.5...2% by mass, having diameters ranging from 10...20 nm and lengths from 5...15 μ m, the resulting material having a density in the range of 1.2...1.4 g/cm, a friction coefficient of 0.25...0.4, a mechanical strength of 150...220 MPa, an elasticity module in the range of 10...30 GPa and being resistant to high working temperatures.
