A method for raising stress resistance and productivity of vegetable crops includes treating seeds and vegetating plants with an aqueous solution of the composition comprising: biologically active substances, fertilizers and a mixture of polyethylene glycols. The antioxidants ionol and dimethyl sulphoxide are used as the biologically active substances, and potassium polyphosphate or urea polyphosphate as the fertilizers. In doing so the treatment of the seeds is carried out by means of soaking in the course of 18-24 hrs. in a ratio of solution/seeds of 1:1-3:1, and the treatment of vegetating plants is carried out prior to and after planting seedlings into unprotected area at a working solution rate of 250-350 l/ha.
