A method for inducing local epizooties in populations of phytophage insects includes artificial settling of laboratory cultures of entomophages into agrocenoses. Larvae of the elder ages and imagoes of predaceous insects are preliminary selected in a ratio of 1:1. After that they are infected by spores of the entomopathogenous fungus Paecilomyces farinosus Brown et Smith by means of single treatment of the surface of bodies thereof with a 3.0% aqueous suspension of spores of the fungus. The treatment is carried out 25-30 minutes prior to settling thereof into agrocenoses. The infected individuals of the predaceous insects are settled onto berry fields in an equivalent of 6-7 individuals per one bush, in the period of developing larvae of buprestid beetles and caterpillars of currant borer elder than the second age.
