The present invention relates to, inter alia, the use of 2-(2-Nitro-4-Trifluoromethylbenzoyl)-1,3-Cyclohexanedione (compound 2) in the treatment of a neurodegenerative disease, such as Parkinson's disease. The invention also relates to the use of the compound depicted as compound 2 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in the manufacture of a medicament for use in the treatment of a neurodegenerative disease such as Parkinson's disease.
