FORMULATION OF AMINO ACIDS AND RIBOFLAVIN USEFUL TO REDUCE TOXIC EFFECTS OF CYTOTOXIC CHEMOTHERAPY

Pharmaceutical compositions effective in alleviating or reducing the effectsof fatigue and weakness associated with cancer and cytotoxic cancerchemotherapy are disclosed. The pharmaceutical compositions of the presentinvention comprise riboflavin, effectors of the urea cycle in free form orpharmacologically acceptable salts thereof, and amino acids selected from thegorups of essential and non-essential amino acids, in free form orpharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, suitably combined with appropriatecarriers, diluents, or excipients. Also disclosed are methods of alleviatingor reducing the effects of fatigue and weakness associated with cancer andcytotoxic cancer chemotherapy by administration of pharmaceutical compositionsof the present invention.
