The present application notably relates to such a N-RNA complex in crystal form, to a crystal containing such a N-RNA complex, to a method for producing such a N-RNA complex or crystal, to uses and applications thereof, including methods for identifying or developing a compound, which inhibits or prevents the replication and/or transcription of said virus. In a N-RNA complex of the invention, the RNA nucleotides have a particular molecular orientation: some of them have their base moiety facing the outside of the N-RNA complex, being thereby accessible to the virus polymerase complex, whereas some other RNA nucleotides have their base moiety facing the interior of the N-RNA complex, being thereby inaccessible for read out by the virus polymerase complex.
