To provide information required for the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome, the present invention provides an analysis method comprising a step of measuring the amount of expression of a gene which codes for apolipoprotein A-I, by granulosa cells isolated from oocytes obtained by in vitro fertilization. In addition, the present invention provides a kit for diagnosing polycystic ovary syndrome, comprising reagents for measuring the amount of expression of a gene which codes for apolipoprotein A-I, by granulosa cells isolated from oocytes.
