Disclosed is a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for arteriosclerosis associated with dyslipidemia that is not accompanied by renal failure (i.e., having a normal renal function).Specific disclosed is a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for dyslipidemia-related arteriosclerosis, which comprises a spherical active carbon as an active ingredient. The prophylactic or therapeutic agent is characterized in that a patient suffering from the above-mentioned arteriosclerosis has a glomerular filtration rate of 60 mL/min/1.73 m² or more and an albumin/Cr ratio of less than 30 mg/g Cr.
