The present invention relates to a method for detecting the presence or predisposition to a transmissible neuropsychiatric disorder, by detecting a combination of risk alleles in several genes simultaneously, and assigning a genetic score to said combination, which genetic score is indicative of the presence or predisposition to said disorder.
