PRODUCTION OF THIN-FILM MNPO4, NH2O CATHODIC MATERIALS

The MnPO4, H2O thin film is electrodeposited from an aqueous solution containing O.2M of manganese sulfate and 5M of phosphoric acid. The electrodeposition is carried out by galvanostatic oxidation. The electrodeposition reaction is carried out in two steps: electrochemical oxidation of Mn(II) and Mn(III) followed by precipitation in a phosphoric medium (5M). The influence of the synthesis parameters on the preparation of the MnPO4, H2O thin film is examined. The crystalline structure of the deposits examined by X-ray diffraction is correctly indexed based on the MnPO4, H2O orthorhombic structure. The morphological study is carried out by electronic scanning microscopy and reveals a porous surface. The size of the crystallites is calculated using the Scherrer equation.
