A spread spectrum clock generating apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention modulates an input clock signal so as to have a frequency corresponding to a modulation profile and generates an output clock signal. According to embodiments of the present invention, electromagnetic interference in the output clock signal can be reduced and the jitter of the output clock signal can simultaneously be decreased, thereby providing a clock signal having low EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and a low jitter characteristic.
