The present invention relates to a circular polarising plate comprising: a polarising plate that comprises a polarising element which has an absorption axis at an angle of between 85° and 95° relative to the liquid-crystal-cell liquid-crystal alignment direction and of which the "a" colour value in the CIE coordinate system is between -1 and -0.6 and the "b" colour value is between 0.3 and 2.5; and a quarter-wave plate which has an optical axis at an angle of between 130° and 140° relative to the liquid-crystal-cell liquid-crystal alignment direction. The present invention also relates to a reflective liquid-crystal display device comprising the same. The circular polarising plate of the present invention can be used to improve the discernibility and colour impression of reflective liquid-crystal display devices.
