The invention relates to a process for producing a composite material with expanded graphite and phase-change material (PCM). In accordance with the invention, the composite material is produced by infiltrating a graphite structure comprising at least partly compressed expanded graphite with PCM in the liquid state, and comminuting the infiltrated graphite structure into particles, the PCM being in the solid and/or liquid state during said comminuting.
