This invention enables efficient cell re-selections to be performed with the continuation of MBMS services taken into account. A communication system comprises: base station apparatuses each of which is operative to manage a cell in which multimedia broadcast services can be provided; and a mobile station apparatus that belongs to a group of access-limited cells. In the communication system, the mobile station apparatus is operative to select an access-limited cell out of the cells in which the mobile station apparatus is existent and in which the multimedia broadcast services can be provided. Each base station apparatus periodically transmits information of the multimedia broadcast services to the mobile station apparatus (S101). The mobile station apparatus selects an access-limited cell, whereby the mobile station apparatus can continuously use a multimedia broadcast service currently received from a cell in which the multimedia broadcast services can be provided.
