PURPOSE: An apparatus for assisting old people to take a medicine, a management system using the same, and a managing method thereof are provided to induce old people to take corresponding medicine by informing old people of a medicine taking time. CONSTITUTION: A medicine receiving holder has a medicine receiver is placed on a medicine receiving holder. An RFID tag(110) is attached to the medicine receiver and has medicine taking information. An RFID reader(120) receives medicine taking information from the RFID tag and an RFID tag ID and generates an event signal according to the recognition of the RFID tag. A controller(190) confirms the medicine taking result based on an event signal. The RFID reader generates a first event signal if the RFID tag is not recognized. After a first event signal is generated and the RFID tag is recognized again, a second event signal is generated.
