METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS PRODUCTION OF 3-HYDROXYPROPIONIC ACID AND 1,3-PROPANEDIOL FROM GLYCEROL BY CULTIVATING RECOMBINANT E. COLI

PURPOSE: A method for simultaneously preparing 3-hydroxypropionic acid and 1,3-propandiol from glycerol using recombinant E.coli is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for simultaneously preparing 3-hydroxypropionic acid and 1,3-propandiol is performed by culturing recombinant E.coli in a medium containing enough glycerol and glucose. The recombinant E.coli is obtained by transforming to expresses an enzyme which converts 3-hydroxypropion aldehyde to 3-hydroxypropionic acid.
