PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to expand a viewing angle without lowering an aperture ratio.;CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display comprises: unit pixels(P) which are defined by gate lines and data lines; a thin film transistor formed in the unit pixels; a storage electrode(STE) which is electrically connected with a drain electrode(D); a second pixel electrode(185) which is formed within the unit pixel in order to be touched with the storage electrode; a protective layer(160) including a contact hole formed on the unit pixel region; and a first pixel electrode(180) embodying a first sub pixel(SUB1).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
