PURPOSE: A strain which produces tacrolimus and a tacrolimus biosynthetic gene obtained by the same are provided to produce immunosuppressants and a large amount of tacrolimus.;CONSTITUTION: A strain which produces tacrolimus compound of chemical formula 1 is Streptomyces sp. MJM7001 strain. A tacrolimus biosynthetic gene is derived from Streptomyces sp. MJM7001 and has sequence number 1.
