PURPOSE: A method for generating a fuzzy vault based on biometric information and an authentication method using a fuzzy vault based on biometric information are provided to prevent deterioration of authentication accuracy. CONSTITUTION: Biometric information minutiae corresponding to a first device are applied to a first polynomial. Biometric information minutiae correspondence coordinates are generated(710). Chaff minutiae correspondence coordinates which do not satisfy the first polynomial are generated(720). A first vault is generated by using the biometric information minutiae correspondence coordinates and the chaff minutiae correspondence coordinates(730).
