PURPOSE: Water and fat separating type magnetic resonance imaging method and apparatus are provided to repeatedly update the function of a phase-size combination density and apply an irregular magnetic field correcting method. ;CONSTITUTION: A water and fat separating type magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is composed of a magnetic assembly, a slope amplifier(105), an RF amplifier(106), a controller(107), an analog/digital converter(109), a computer(111), and a manipulating console(112). An MR signal is input to a receiver and is converter into a digital signal. The digital signal is transmitted to the computer.
