PURPOSE: An MEMS shutter and a display apparatus having the same are provided to prevent the distortion of brightness, color, and display quality by symmetrically arranging the asymmetrical MEMS shutter.;CONSTITUTION: A first slit is formed on a first substrate(101). Light from a light source penetrates the slit. A second substrate(105) includes a second slit corresponding to the location of the first slit. A MEMS shutter(181) including a second slit periodically moves back and forth on a plane in parallel with the first and the second substrates.
