PURPOSE: A baseband orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) receiver and a method thereof are provided to correct carrier frequency errors in a time axis, thereby reducing a required amount of operations for calculating the correlation of a carrier frequency in a frequency axis.;CONSTITUTION: An analog/digital converter(300) outputs baseband sample data by sampling a received baseband signal of an RF block. A frequency compensation filter(400) compensates a carrier frequency component with respect to the baseband sample data by referring to a carrier frequency error value. The frequency compensation filter outputs sample data by filtering a frequency bandwidth corresponding to the bandwidth of a received signal. A cyclic estimation part(500) acquires a sample clock error estimation value by calculating a correlation value with respect to a region corresponding to a cyclic prefix in the sample data. A frequency error estimation part(600) provides a carrier frequency error value to the frequency compensation filter.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
