PURPOSE: A method for sensing a fire flame using the fuzzy finite automata is provided to successfully sense a fire flame in various fire images by generating a probability model and applying the model to fuzzy finite automata.;CONSTITUTION: An image for sensing a fire flame is collected(S100). The image is divided into a plurality of blocks(S200). A fire candidate block is extracted using the distortion value of the brightness of an arbitrary pixel which is included in a block(S300). A fire candidate area is detected using a fuzzy membership function in the fire candidate block(S400).
