FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, cardiosurgery and can be used at the stage of patients' preparation for cardiosurgical operation, in selection of method of aortocoronary bypass surgery. Pneumatic cuff is applied 2-3 cm more distally than scanned section of radial artery. Ultrasonic scanning of radial artery before and after induced by cuff application increase of intravascular pressure is carried out. Change of radial artery diameter is determined 60 seconds after beginning of intravascular pressure increase. In case of 9-12% increase of diameter, radial artery is estimated as functionally suitable for application as vascular shunt. If diameter increase is 8% and lower, it is considered that radial it is not reasonable to use radial artery as vascular shunt.;EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out non-invasive estimation of functional suitability of radial artery for application as vascular shunt in carrying out operations of aortocoronary bypass surgery by estimating tonic activity of radial artery smooth muscles and expression of its endothelial dysfunction.;2 ex, 1 tbl
