METHOD OF COMBINATION TREATMENT OF STAGE IIIA-IIIB LOCALLY ADVANCED NON-SMALL-CELL LUNG CANCER

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, oncology, and concerns combination treatment of stage IIIA-IIIB locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (LA NSCLC). A method involves preoperative chemotherapy according to the schedule paclitaxel 175 mg/m² intravenously drop-by-drop on the 1st day and carboplatin AUC 6 intravenously drop-by-drop on the 1st day, 2 courses every 3 weeks, then a radical surgery combined with intraoperative radiation therapy on regional lymphatic cancer spreads in a single dose 15 Gy with underlying cisplatin radiosensitisation. The surgery involves combined operations with resection of a chest wall, and/or a diaphragm, and/or an oesophagus, and/or great vessels, and/or a pericardium, and/or auricles with the resected regions to be covered by the intraoperative radiation.;EFFECT: method provides improved survival rate in the patients suffering stage IIIA-IIIB LA NSCLC ensured by higher respectability of a tumour process, reduced rate of local recurrences and remote metastases.;2 ex
