The ski has paddle-leg drive including bodies (2, 5) that are mutually moved opposite to each other. The ski is operated using a human muscle force, where the bodies are utilized with floating body equipped stick that is formed as additional driving unit. A construction of the ski includes double paddles (6) that are connected with the bodies, and rotational point (3) of the paddles is provided on the bodies. The movement of the bodies is transmitted from an attachment (7) of the paddles to the rotation of the paddles around the rotational point. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a water ski.
