The fastening screw (2) has a head and a bolt (1) with an external thread (3), where the external thread has a helicoid shaped thread tooth (4) that is formed at bolt. The thread tooth has an allowance (5) in a part of the external thread at a thread tooth face (6). The allowance not exceeds the nominal diameter (d) of the external thread. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a connecting unit for electrical connection of an electronic consumer with an electrical conducting component, particularly the body of a motor vehicle; and (2) a method for monitoring the quality of a fastening screw.
