The method involves introducing substitute fluid in an extracorporeal circulation (1000). The substitute fluid is conveyed for simultaneous discharge of blood both from an arterial line section (1) and from a venous line section (3) of the extracorporeal blood circulation. The blood is conveyed under simultaneous operation of a blood pump (13) and a conveyor from the extracorporeal circulation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a treatment device with a storage unit; and (2) a tubing system for use in blood removing method.
