The body (10) has a center tunnel (14) extended within a region of a chassis in a vehicle longitudinal direction and projected into a passenger space against a base structure (18). Longitudinal carrier elements (20, 22) of the center tunnel have a root-like expansion area (26) in an exchange area at an end of the passenger space. One of the longitudinal carrier elements runs on height of the base structure. The other longitudinal carrier element runs in a vertical distance to the base structure.
