The device has a detachable bracket (1) provided with variably adjustable adjusting elements (6.1-6.3) and position-exactly coupled with a door leaf. A control unit (11) is provided for adjustment of the adjusting elements. The control unit is pre-programmed on different door models. The control unit is provided with an adjusting drive (5.1) to position the adjusting elements. The control unit is operated during change of the door model. A lowerable side window (8) of a frameless vehicle door (2) is height-adjustable and independent of a window lifting system by a stroke drive (7).
