The rail has pavement-sided rail surfaces provided with anchoring profiles (10b, 10d, 10e) for permanent connection of the rail with a hardened pavement (5). Wall contact surfaces are provided with fastening elements e.g. fixing holes (10f) and fixing pins (14), for fixing the rail at a wall (3) and a plaster (4) during hardening the pavement. A cable channel (9) comprises a contact surface (10a) and another contact surface for insertion of light-transmissive top panels, where the contact surfaces are provided for a floor covering (12). The channel contains a space for installing cables and holders for attaching light sources i.e. LED illumination elements, or sound detectors.
