The machine (1) has a powder device (3) including nozzles (6) for spraying a print sheet (2) with powder (15). A gripper device (4) transports the print sheet to the powder device in advance. A lifting device incrementally lifts an element e.g. telescope-like channel (8) or plate, of the powder device over the gripper device. The channel or the plate conveys the powder from the nozzles to the print sheet. The nozzles are fixedly arranged relative to the gripper device. The telescope-like channel is coordinated to the nozzles.
