The method involves forming scintillator array (2) from scintillators (5) that are separated from each other by septum (4). An optical reference unit is produced on a side, which is turned towards the array, for identification of location and/or width of the septum that is covered by a cover reflector (3). A layer is made of silver bromide crystal and sensitive against X-ray on a part of side of side, which is turned towards the array, of the reflector. A radiation converter layer is radiated with x-rays from a direction of rear side of the array. An independent claim is also included for a radiation detector module comprising a radiation converter layer.
