The prosthesis has a connection unit (21) fastening to a thigh stump, and two hydraulic barrel assemblies (30, 40) constructed in opponent arrangement and coupled with each other. The hydraulic barrel assemblies are arranged in length-variable artificial leg sections (16) below a knee in longitudinal direction. The hydraulic barrel assemblies are hinged at a hinge point at the thigh stump behind one another to cause motion of an artificial replacement member of the leg sections around a rotary axis by movement in the opponent arrangement. An independent claim is also included for a joint arrangement comprising hydraulic cylinders.
