The lancing device has a cabinet (2) for retaining a needle (1) or a scalpel, where the cabinet has a suction part for the needle or the scalpel at an end. The needle or the scalpel is moved between a retaining position and an insertion and/or cutting position, where the needle or the scalpel is completely retained in the cabinet in the retaining position, and a tip of the needle or the scalpel stands outside of the suction part in the insertion and/or cutting position. The needle and an operation knob (9) are releasably interconnected with each other by a detent connection.
