The shroud i.e. transparent planar annular beam window (16), has a curvature directed outward from an interior of a gantry (2), where the shroud is located under a bias, and the curvature is formed as geometric shape and made of plastic. The geometric shape is formed of a circular segment, partially elliptical, trapezoidal, triangular or circular arc. The geometric shape of the shroud is produced by thermal transformation or injection molding. An X-ray system comprises an X-ray source (6) and an X-ray detector (7) arranged at a rotatable part (4).
