The device (1) has a mounting rail mountable at an attachment surface (6), and a one-piece carrier (3) connectable with the mounting rail a by a connection unit (10). The carrier has retainers (4) for fastening solar cells (2) and a support (8) connectable with the mounting rail. The connection unit is provided between the support and the mounting rail for fixing the carrier in the mounting rail. The retainers are separated from each other by a rod (5), and a flange (11) of the support receives a part of the connection unit.
